Welcome to Hamfallow's Parish Website

·       We need your ideas for improving parish life for you, your children and your grandchildren

Thanks to all who attended the community open day at Sharpness Village Hall on 29 April. The purpose of the day was to celebrate all that is good about living in our parishes, as well as showing the initial ideas put forward for inclusion in the parish plan.

Over the next couple of months, groups within your parish will be writing first drafts for the 7 topics forming the basis of the plan:

1.     Leisure and Tourism

2.     Communications

3.     Infrastructure – homes, transport etc.

4.     Economy – Jobs etc.

5.     Education/youth

6.     Older Generation

7.     Environmental

Your input is vital and there will be a public consultation when the first draft is ready for comment.

Hamfallow is a rural parish in the Vale of Berkeley, just a stones throw from historic Berkeley, with its famous 12th  century castle. With just over 1,000 residents scattered across the villages of Breadstone, Halmore, Newtown and Wanswell, we are lucky enough to enjoy beautiful countryside, the river Severn and the Gloucester/Sharpness canal.

Hamfallow boasts a primary school and old people's sheltered housing, a shop and a Post Office in Newtown. Our pub, The Salmon Inn in Wanswell, offers great food and outdoor amenities for children.

There is plenty to do in and around Hamfallow - if you are looking for local groups or businesses, entertainment or activities, we have added links to help you.
