Hamfallow is a rural parish in the Vale of Berkeley, Gloucestershire, a short distance from the historic town of Berkeley, with its famous 12th century castle. With just over 1,000 residents scattered across the villages of Breadstone, Halmore, Newtown and Wanswell, we enjoy beautiful countryside, the river Severn with its famous Severn Bore, the lovely Gloucester and Sharpness Canal - and even a special telephone box!
Amongst the many amenities found in the Hamfallow parish, Newtown has a vibrant primary school, a shop and post office, as well as elderly people's sheltered housing. Wanswell’s pub, The Salmon Inn, is well known throughout the area, offers a friendly welcome, great food, beer garden and outdoor amenities for children. There are several small businesses in Breadstone including an equine hospital, vets and hot air balloon company. Halmore’s focal point is a telephone book exchange housed in the pretty red telephone box. There are also some delightful walks.
